Countdown is on to the new dates for Gold Coast International Marine Expo at the Gold Coast City Marina in Coomera.

The popular event is now in May 21 to 24 this year with changes including the introduction of a $10 entry fee. The 2015 event will feature free sailing introductions for children and a replica of a 15th century Portuguese caravel "Notorious".

Quintrex, the famous local tinnie builder will showcase all 2015 model releases at the expo, including the Quintrex 420 Explorer Trophy. Quintrex will release the 3m to 6.9m range in a massive display outside Quintrex's factory within the Gold Coast Marine Precinct at Coomera.

2015 also coincides with Quintrex's 70th birthday. Factory tours will also be available in the Telwater factory, where Quintrex boats are crafted.
